Installation of Solar Panels at Our Office
At Marsland Nash we are proud to announce the completion of our solar panel installation at our office. This project reflects our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
By harnessing the power of the sun, we are not only reducing our carbon footprint but also investing in cost savings for the long term. We are proud to join the growing movement towards renewable energy, using the sun's clean power to operate our office.
As an example of our savings, for the month of June 2024 we used around 4,558 kWh of electricity from the grid. But with the solar power we have generated we have reduced this to 1,165 kWh for the month of June 2025. This is an approximate saving of £715 for just one month compared to the same period last year.
We are also sending energy back to the grid during peak generation hours.
By choosing Solar Panels and LED lighting, we are actively reducing our environmental impact, improving our workplace, and demonstrating leadership in sustainable business practices.

Transition from Fluorescent Tubes to LED Lighting
Our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility does not stop there, we have also replaced our traditional fluorescent lighting with modern LED technology throughout our offices which provide environmental benefits of consuming up to 70% less electricity than fluorescent tubes, directly reducing our carbon footprint, LEDs are mercury-free and safer to recycle, eliminating hazardous waste from our operations. With a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours, LEDs last significantly longer, reducing material waste and resource use.
They provide workplace benefits of consistent, natural-tone light which improves visual comfort and reduces eye strain. LEDs generate less heat, supporting a healthier indoor environment and lowering cooling requirements.

Our Commitment
We will soon be looking at ways to further reduce our carbon footprint, reliance on the grid and costs, potentially with the investment of battery storage.
We will keep you updated on how this goes, with our next project aiming to use 100% of our own renewable energy to operate our office.
