New Covid Business Support Announcements

Rishi Sunak has announced further support for sectors affected by the current Covid situation.

Businesses in the hospitality and leisure sectors in England will be eligible for one-off grants of up to £6,000 per premises, plus more than £100m discretionary funding will be made available for local authorities to support other businesses. The grants will be administered by local authorities, similar to previous lockdown grants.

There will also be a Covid SSP support scheme for small and medium sized businesses (those with less than 250 employees).

Businesses will be eligible for the scheme from 21 December and they will be able to make claims retrospectively from mid-January.
